
Petrol prices that had been soaring since the start of year have at last hit a level and fallen slightly. However, on April 1, fuel duty for both petrol and diesel will rise 1.84 pence per litre. We are reliably informed that the cost of fuel will start to rise steadily again from the end of March 09.

Oliver Clarke (IT department) son of Bill Clarke jnr and grandson of Bill Clarke senior recently found himself in for a pleasant surprise when having a run out for Worcester City reserve team V Burton Albion reserves, when looking at the opponent for the 1st time playing at left back for Burton was none other that there manager, ex Liverpool, Manchester City and Nottingham Forest player and 14 times capped for England now 42 years old Nigel Clough. The pilot with PDA's has moved on after its initial start up in Bridgend, it is now fully implemented in Bridgend Eastleigh Leigh and Wishaw with all other depots scheduled for completion before the end of the year, this will help our busy transport offices as well as offering up to the minute information for our customers. "Goodbye from him and hello from me" or something like Eric and Ernie would say at the end of the Morecambe and Wise show, Jimmy Crabbe who has links with us for almost 30 years and a Clarke driver for more than 10 years had boldly decided to move on to ventures new and prairies green choosing to give life a go out in the USA . Something must have happened during his leaving night out with the boys as by the following Monday he had decided not to make the move, so bonjour again Messier Crabbe. Maybe we will have news or an update for the next newsletter? (December 2008)
