Congragulations to Kevin Bagnall (Oldbury Depot)

On 6/9/09 Kevin competed in the Carver Wolverhampton City Cycle Marathon race and he came 19th out of 422 riders. Kevin said..."My time was 0:38:43 (of which I'm quite proud of). This is the 7th time I have done this and finished in the top 20. At the same time I have raised 1,000's of pounds for various charities. I don't know if this is worth a mention in Clarke newsletter on our website" - you bet it is!  The photo shows a proud Kevin warming down with his commemorative medal. Well done Kev.

New Eastleigh Depot

Our new Eastleigh depot is up and running following the move of less than 200 metres to the new bigger facility. Phil Lowcock, Transport Director said "Although we have only moved the depot a short distance, this facility is far superior to the previous depot that had serviced for over 10 years. The guys now have added capacity to develop the customer base and build on the existing excellent service levels."

New Mercedes Vehicles

Robert Clarke, Operations Director is pleased to have been able to negotiate favorable terms to replace some existing vehicles at our Leigh and Wishaw depot with new Mercedes vehicles, which will be integrated into our fleet and should provide us with economic reliable vehicles which are driver friendly. All vehicles will be monitored via our satellite tracking devices, as well as our PDA electronic data capture device. (August 2009)

Track & Trace Technology

Jason Westwood, IT & Network Manager has successfully rolled out our new Track & Trace technology, that gives us access to drivers live electronic data with delivery information.

Jason said "When a driver turns up at a delivery point with the electronic PDA, he is asked to confirm the delivery by signing the screen. This information is then sent back to our traffic department and updates our records. During 2009 so far, the vast majority of all deliveries have been achieved using a totally automated system. This provides our customers with increased accuracy and instant access to information. Customers have their own secure area on our site, enabling them to select and view order information using various search criteria such as date, order number, reference or delivery address."
