Mammoth bike ride completed

Thank you for asking, we are please to report that not only did Stephen and Sandra complete their mammoth bike ride, but between them they raised well in excess of £7,000. The whole group actually raised a magnificent £125,000 between them. See the picture below of the happy, but tired group shot at the orphanage. Stephen is the tall person to the right of the frame, and Sandra is central behind the red tee shirt. Thank you again, and well done to everyone who supported them.
Happy New Year

Well the festive period has come and gone and we start a new year, 2012. How many of us were prepared for what 2011 held in store for us, what have we learnt from the previous 12 months, and will be better prepared for the next 12 months? Big questions or just big question marks, what ever the economy, what ever the seasons, what ever comes our way we will be doing our best to steer the company onwards and forwards as 2012 actually promises to be both challenging and yet a rewarding year. 2012 could be seen as a small segment of only 12 months but 12 months that will have a significant impact on the development of Clarke transport. We obviously expect some challenging times ahead but also many opportunities arising from new and existing customers, from new and existing markets and from new and existing locations.
Here's to a new year with new opportunities for each and all.
Happy Christmas

It's that time of year to wish good will to all and share a little happiness around. So as we start to cruise in to Christmas after a hectic few months it really is time to look back and to thank each and every customer for there continued support and commitment during 2011, it's also so important too that we thank our suppliers and service partners for there excellence and levels of commitment that enabled us to provide the service that we do. Equally importantly thank you everyone working at Clarke transport for there continued levels of service and especially appreciated is the super efforts when the extra push was both critical and needed.
Thank you all and lets hope that each and everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. Seasons greetings from the directors and all of the Clarke family.
Can you help?

It looks like Robert Clarke (Operations Director) will be in for a peaceful week early in November, as his Wife Sandra and youngest son Stephen (part of the Oldbury transport team) head off on a mammoth bike ride. No not to Vietnam or to Cambodia but from Vietnam to Cambodia in support of Acorns Children's Hospice. They will be riding approximately 400 kilometres over a 6 day period followed by 3 days helping out at a Cambodian orphanage.
Whilst they have covered the cost of the trip themselves (or in all probability Robert has), they have been actively looking at ways to raise sponsorship and donations for this charity. Sandra's 2 consecutive days of coffee mornings and afternoon teas at the family home went well and was well supported, even if the neighbours were put out by the numbers of cars coming and going in there what was once quiet cul-de-sac. It was mentioned to me by an anonymous contact that Sandra should be giving master classes in the art of delegation! She had the lads washing up and keeping a good supply clean condiments, Rebecca taking the money , a friend serving the cakes who had I am pretty sure also baked the cakes.
Let's hope all of the weekend 06am bike rides and the after work 2 hour dashes have put enough energy in the bank to get round safely, but just as importantly can you help with a contribution? If so please email sclarke@clarketransport.co.uk or http://www.justgiving.com/Stephen-Clarke4
A big thank you to our good friends Michael Bell @ Bell Trailers, Tony Birtwistle @ Mercedes Trucks Manchester, Craig McCarthy @ Klise Commercials & Gary Amos @ PPS vehicle builders for their generous donations.
Interplas

We are pleased to announce that we will be exhibiting at this year's Interplas Exhibition at the NEC in September, if you plan to attend make sure that you find your way to the stand and introduce yourself and I am sure a warm welcome will be in order.
What do you think?

We have recently decided to freshen up the image of all our new vehicles and trailers. After much talking and colouring, and several meetings with ASTsigns who have been wrapping the vehicles rather than painting them we now have the finished option. Well nearly anyway, every time that we say this we go back and make a minor alteration.
What do you think email comments sensible or not to bill@clarketransport.co.uk
Girls well done!

Wendy Garmston, Sharon Ball and Sue White (all from the Oldbury depot admin team) completed a sponsored 10 mile walk in aid of Promise Dreams, a charity that helps sick and terminally ill children.
Girls well done - Wendy, Sharon and Sue completed Beacon Radios Walk of the Black Country at the end of June and collected some blisters and sore bits along the way, whilst also collecting valuable donations.
I bet even now they are super fit, they still look for the nearest car parking space to the entrance at the Merry Hill?
