10 new Mercedes tractor units

Robert Clarke Operations Director- has negotiated with Mercedes Trucks and brought 10 new tractor units into the business, following a successful trial period with excellent after sales service. Robert is expecting the vehicles to give improved fuel consumption whilst improving performance and providing extra driver safety and comfort.

Bridgend birthday party

Alun Jones (Bridgend Depot Manager and Clarke National Projects Manager) has hit the BIG 40 we all turned up in sunny Bridgend for the surprise party! And boy was he surprised! The photo shows some of the team from Bridgend depot.

Nick’s Ash cloud Drama! (take 2)

While Nick Clarke (on the right) was stranded due to the ash cloud drama he managed to fit in a drink or two with George Burley SKY pundit and ex Scotland and Ipswich manager and player, whilst out in Barcelona to see his beloved Barca lift the la liga title, it seems a good time was had by all eventually via plane train and automobile Nick did get back to work!

(take 2) yes this was the second time in a short period of time that Nick had his travel plans scuppered back from Barcelona. Recently on another flying visit out to the Catalan capital this time with his granddad BW Clarke senior Managing Director and his cousin Rebecca (Oldbury head office) to help celebrate Bec's birthday. After 2 days of flight cancellations it was decided to send for Jimmy, long time friend of the family and colleague and regular weekend away with BWC companion. So Jimmy drove down from Birmingham in a company pool car, took a few hours sleep on route just in time to enjoy Saturday night in Barca, after a long lie in and plenty of rest the merry gang started back for home with an overnight stay at one of BWC's favorite wine regions for a sample or two then to drive home the following day refreshed and relaxed (not) for work.
