Storm Emma has severely hit the UK and Clarke Transport’s networks has been servery hit throughout this unprecedented weather and along with Scotland which on red alert the Met Office have now issued red weather warnings for Wales and the South West and experiencing very difficult conditions. The forecasts are not showing much in the ways of improvement in the next few days and many other areas could also be affected.
There are certain areas which have been severely affected which we have been unable to despatch vehicles into. We have no trunks into Scotland, East Anglia and Cumbria. With further areas expected to be hit as the next 48 hours is expected to worsen across the UK.
Due to these severe circumstances that are due to the expected failures, there will be a backlog of consignments. We will do whatever we can to catch up as soon as possible however next day delivery is obviously something that cannot be guaranteed to many areas as the situation is driven by something beyond our control
We will continue to issue regular updates and monitor the continual change in conditions across our network and look to resume full services as soon as possible.

We have been using the delivery service for 8 years, and in that time, we have built a good working relationship with both the transport office and the drivers and the sales team. We are notified by email direct off the traffic office if there are any issues with deliveries for example driver have run out of time or such like issues, Any delivery that is delayed is promptly dealt with and is sent for delivery the following working day.
All of the collection drivers that we deal with on daily basis are extremely helpful, patient and help where needed.
“Clarke Transport has been a breath of fresh air. They are a big company with a ‘Family’ attitude, providing a personal touch whilst achieving a very professional service. My staff has nothing but praise for the service they receive when contacting them”
